Well, seriously! It is time to get this blog updated. I'm gonna try to show some highlights from the past, but sadly I will miss most of them since I haven't been updating frequently!

Hi all, well, as I said before, I'm sorry that I haven't updated the site. But I found some pics from this summer that I can share!



Billy is helping when we were working on making a garden out of the yard! He is a hard worker.





Billy jumping on the trampolin (sorry for the angle). He loves to jump so it is a good thing that we never put up our trampolin this summer because he would have jumped is legs off.





Billy with is cousin Colin, playing with Colins tractor. And no, it is not as bad as it looks, they were taking turns pushing.

When the neighbor was doing their yard ready, Billy was allowed to ride in the big excavator that the contractor drove. He was deliriously happy!

Ah, I just realized it's been forever since I updated this blog. I'm gonna get better at it I promise!!!! Seriously, this is just to sad, it's been almost a year since I updated it.

A lot has happened since then, so I'm going to try to digg up som pics and put it in here for you all to see.

Johan got to borrow his friends corvette, and we took it for a ride while Billy stayed with my parents, when we got back he got to try it too!

The outside of the house is basically finished, we are supposed to take over it on October 16th but I don't dare to hope for anything yet right now.

Billy got this winter hat from Grandma and he wanted to wear it all day inside, and tried putting daddy's shoes on. They were difficult to walk in ...

Finally, the Bamse painting in Elias' room is complete. We estimate that we have spent about 40 + hours on making it. But now it is finished, it is in my friend Ann-Catrin's son's room, he turned 2-years old this summer.
And Bamse is a very famous (in Sweden) children's cartoon.

Well, this week was Billy's tryout at daycare. It wasn't completly problem free, after half-day he was crying and missing me. On Monday I'm supposed to start working, but I guess it will have to be a short day so that I can pick Billy up early. Johan will be the one leaving him at daycare, and a fear he will have a harder time leaving Billy than Billy will have being at daycare ... He is a real softy when it comes to Billy ...

This past month we've visited Billy's daycare center. It looks very promising, they have their own chef, which means they will be getting real homecooked meals everyday, they will be outdoors as much as the weather allows and his teachers seem very nice, I feel really good about putting him there. It was our second choice, but now that we've been for a visit I don't think he could have ended up at a better place!

Here we are back in Sweden and Billy has some more clothes on again, but playing with a ball is just as fun at Gran Canaria as it is in the appartment or like here at the cabin.

Hi all,
we are just back from a wonderful week in sunny Gran Canaria (of the coast of Africa but more or less part of Spain).
We went with my mom and dad and my sister Marie and her family. We celebrated that my dad turns 60 this year and Billy's 1st birthday on the 9 of  May.



This is the entrance to our bungalow, we stayed at these appartments and it was very convenient, we could eat breakfast and lunch here, and then go out for dinner.






The kids played very well together, here are Billy with Marie's kids, Charlie, Colin and Clara.





Clara took very good care of Billy.

Johan, mon, dad, Billy and I found this nice little pub/beachbar along the waterwalk. Best food so far ...




The market right by the hotel complex, had dining and some shops. As I mentioned before, the food here is not a culinary feast. Bland and  boring, but filled its purpose.



Pictures of the hotel area, we stayed at the bungalows but there was also a hotel right next by the pool area and two other large pool-bungalow areas. Very nice and child-friendly, only thing was the stairs but you could always go around and find another way with the baby carriage.




Well deserved coke after walking a swedish mile! Well, the coke was acctually for me and Marie, but it made a good picture!

Running around on the ground and in the pool takes its toll, one tired kiddo!

Yes, Billy has Cars as bed-sheets, had you ever figured he would have something else???? He also has an unusual preference when sleeping, that is - in any direction in his bed.

Yes, it is true, he already has his own Audi ... Got to start early!
He got it from Johan's family for Christmas and he loves it.



He also knows how to make the "nono"-sign using his finger ...
Hmm, they say children do as you do, not what you tell them to do.

One of Billy's favourite people is his aunt Sophie, Johan's sister, here they are eating an orange together.

Aaaaaah.

I was sooo excited about moving into our newbuilt house. Three days before we were supposed to move in, a fire started in the basement and basically set the whole house on fire. Basically, they will have to rebuild the whole house. Right now, it is feeling pretty tough, all our efforts and expectations are just gone, it is undescribable. So, I might not be very active here for a while, we'll see when the spark comes back.

Luckily, we are all safe and Billy is our sunshine, but somedays it is hard to appreciate that, I kind of have to mourn the house I never got to move into ...

I'm home with a sick Billy, he has a bad cold and cough. And he  is whining a lot, which I'm not used to since he is usually like a sunshine-boy.







On the last picture we tried to get a nice Christmas picture of Billy and Zigge, but neither of them were very interested in posing with a smile ...

Billy now says mamamammammmamamamma and pappapapappapappapapa which menas mom and dad!

We now have the final date for the house-certification, the 22nd of December, if everything gets approved we will be allowed to move in then!!! Which means we have one day to move since we celebrate Christmas on the 24th in Sweden, gaaaaah!



This is the view from the backyard, a lot of area to care for! But, we will wait with the garden until fall next year! On the left side of the house we will have a big balcony.




The front of the house, they have acctually put in the garage doors, but when we checked them it was the wrong kind, so they will be replaced .... In the front you see all the wood they will use to build the balcony.

On Sunday Billy will be 6 months old! Can't believe it, time reallly flies.

Billy can even stand, if only for a few seconds, my hands are not far away.




Billy is now sitting by himself, and loving it, occationally he falls, which might be a bit upsetting before he finds other ways to explore ...

In the beginning of October I had a visit from Amy, (college friend from Framingham State).

We took Amy to the Boston inspired restaurant O'Learys.

We also went to Gothenburg, Gränna and watch glas-blowing, and a weekendtrip to Stockholm before Amy went home!
